Eve Palguta is a classically-trained artist

informed by tradition and inspired by the present.

Eve received her Masters in Painting, with a concentration in sculpture, from the New York Academy of Art. Educated as a draftsman, oil painter, and figurative sculptor, she has spent years working in different mediums creating representational and abstract work.

Eve works across a spectrum of sculptural mediums including wax, bronze, clay, wood, stone and plaster-- as well as experimenting in more unconventional mediums. Her sculptural work straddles abstract and representational imagery, often exploring cultural and religious themes. Much of the execution of her sculptural work draws from her fascination and study of material and manipulation.

Beyond her own studio practice, she worked as an in-house artist for the luxury interior design and staging company IMG. She has also worked as an expert stone carver for the renowned artists Barry X Ball and Barbara Ségal. Eve has a passion for sharing the arts with others and has instructed a wide range of drawing, painting and sculpture classes including graduate and college- level courses.

During the Pandemic, Eve relocated from New York City to Pittsburgh, where she shifted her focus to building a small batch ceramics company and teaching at the collegiate level. She accepted the position of Professor Artist in Residence at Franciscan University where she taught a range of drawing and painting courses. She also taught figurative sculpture at the community level at Pittsburgh Center for the Arts.

Recently Eve moved to Los Angeles, where she is working full time as an artist and designer for her business Two Faced Ceramics. She is looking forward to getting involved with the local creative community by teaching workshops and classes. For more info, check out her current schedule HERE.
